Riverwood Academy Award winner Mwendwa Mutua has tipped us that he
is working on a new Television series. The young, energetic and focused producer/director has
told us that 2014 will be an year of surprises.
Mwendwa Mutua started humbly as a theatre actor before
later establishing his own outfit called Artskills theatre, which has mentored
many.
Artskills theatre dominated setbook shows allover the country. He was
able to stage shows in Nairobi, Thika, Western, Nyanza, Coast and even in
Garsen. Through his hardwork, Mwendwa Mutua later decided to venture into film.
It was quite a risk, but according to me, he risked wisely. He rebranded his
company to Artskills Films.
Artskills films has produced several
movies/projects including Tamed which made him win the Best director 2014 award at
the Riverwood Academy Awards which were held at Alliance Francais on 15th March 2014. And he is not stopping.
